Goodbye Coast, hello Lan y Môr

After four eventful years here with us at Coast, our wonderful Head Chef Fred Clapperton leaves us in late spring to return to Nottinghamshire to be closer to his family.

Fred will be missed immensely, and while we’re all sad to have to say goodbye to him, we’re incredibly thankful for all he has done since joining the team in March 2020.

With Fred’s departure comes a big change to the offering and format at Coast, and a change of name too.

It’s time to welcome ‘Lan y Môr’!

A new era is here Hwyl a bwyd / Fun and food

Lan y Môr brings together the man behind Michelin-starred Beach House in the Gower, with former Head Chef at award-winning Grove of Narberth.

Hywel Griffith, Chef Director of Michelin-starred Beach House, in Oxwich will now also lead Lan y Môr, which will be under the stewardship of new Head Chef, Gerwyn Jones.

Hywel and Gerwyn have crafted a really inclusive menu, full of Welsh flavour and local ingredients, ready for you to enjoy with your loved ones, old and young. Join us for some ‘hwyl a bwyd’ here at Lan y Môr!
